Tennessee State University won first place overall among 19 historically black colleges and universities in a national business plan competition.
The Opportunity Funding Corp. Venture Challenge Business Plan Competition is open to HBCUs with graduate business programs. In addition to the first place in the overall competition, TSU also picked up top honors in the presentation and Best Business Plan award. The first OFC business plan competition for HCBUs was held in 2001. TSU is the first university to field a team that won all three categories.
