Robert Loomis has a business idea that could make the state of Michigan a little healthier.
And now he’s got $500 to fund it.
Loomis, a Grand Rapids junior, won the “Make a Pitch” competition Thursday evening in Grawn hall.
“It gave me confidence that my ideas are recognized and worth pursuing,” he said.
The competition, sponsored by the LaBelle Entrepreneurial Center (LEC), gave students a chance to pitch innovative ideas in hopes of receiving a $500 prize.
Loomis’ business idea, Fast-Trax Lifestyle, beat out 18 other presentations, including Web-based businesses, restaurant chains and something called the U-Safe Umbrella.
